IT SPECIALIST IN ESTONIA
Since, by my opinion, we are very strong country in Europe in IT field, we have a very professional "Tech" guys in any field of IT.
I have my own list of criteria's, what should have that type of guys, who work in that field.
HERE'S MY LIST
Qualities
The main qualities should be, responsiveness, politeness, "because, we can assume, that every IT guy, is like a nobleman of good blood :))", industriousness, and etc. There's a lot of them, but I suppose, I mention basic ones.
SKILLS
In case of skills, the real one specialist, should understand, how the processes in his subfield works "because 'subfields' in IT are various", and be able to analyze and manipulate with them.
There's also a lot of them "skills" that should be, but for me here's the main ones:
- Analyze data
- Manipulate data
- Be able to find solution
- Be like a fish in his topic
- Ready to communicate
- Ready to help
- Understood everything, what he's doing, and also, be ready to study or find new solutions in hard assignments.
- Always don't give up
EDUCATION
When we talk about education, we usually mean, schools, colleges, universities.
I have absolutely different thoughts, I am of this opinion, that you can also learn a lot by yourself, than in university or other educational "places", for most of the students, such places are something like a borders, without them, they would never study by themselves.
So if we talk about professionals, I think we don't have to mention or asking, what kind of university he finished. Of course, that is a huge advantage that you can somehow proof your skills, without showing them, but also, you can proof them without any diploma. For my case, I don't remember, did I mentioned it previous blogs, that I worked in different companies, such a software developer, and they never asked me about my diploma, they usually proof your skills in practical way.
But, if you think, that this is you craft for future years, study it, as you wish, and you will be successful.
ATTITUDE
As I mentioned above, if you was lucky to choose, exactly what you want to study, your attitude, will be very seriously. For that field, you should take it as a very seriously thing, because you are like a scientist, creator or even god. People who you helping with their problems, looking at you like a something not form this planet. And you should understand, how your solution may affects futher on other logical processes of something, let say database of all registered people in Estonia as citizens.
HOW IT CHANGED DURING THE LAST 20 YEARS
I suppose, the quality of specialist only grows, as well as Education and Attitude.
Most principles, tools, working methods, technologies was changed in a good more logical way.
Everything, from past 20 years, have now an absolutely new shape, new view and new method of use.
For Example, look how we blow phone market since 2000's, now we even dont have to have buttons, to do something 😂 in simple words. There is a lot of examples, lets take a more iconic one, you probably follow about space news in our world, and somehow familiar with Ilon Mask's rockets, that some of them, can land back, without destroying himself, of course, this technic should be modified, but 20 years ago, none practiced it or tried to realize it.
